Agave Energy Company was formed in 1995 as a result of Yates Petroleum Corporation’s acquisition of portions of Transwestern Pipeline Company’s Southeast New Mexico gathering assets. Agave began operations with 22 employees moving 100 MMcfd of natural gas. Through growth and acquisitions, Agave has grown to approximately 85 employees and has assets including liquids removal plants via refrigeration and cryogenic separation, sour gas processing plants and compressor stations with over 45,000 horsepower. Agave has a current throughput of 150 MMcfd and over 2000 miles of pipe. In 2000, Agave expanded operations into Wyoming’s Powder River Basin under the name of Rowdy Pipeline. Currently Rowdy employs 35 persons and operates over 56,000 horsepower moving 200 MMcfd of coal bed methane natural gas.
